Software description: installation and operation

Published for the Russian-language site. In English, use the Terms of use, Student agreement and Privacy policy.

1. What this document covers

This document describes Ednice functions and how to start. It applies with the License agreement, the Public offer and the Student user agreement. Devices and network are in the System requirements. Help is on the Technical support page. Price is on the Pricing page.

2. Name and purpose

The official software name is Ednice. It is a cloud program for authors, tutors and online schools: webinars, courses, consultations, paid access and learning analytics in one browser dashboard.

3. Functional characteristics

  • Webinars — a browser studio, chat, polls, screen share, recording and selling access during the live session.
  • Courses — modules and lessons, trial access, assignments, review and several sales models.
  • Consultations — short meetings with a limited number of participants and the same studio.
  • Analytics — student progress, attendance, revenue and live-session figures.

The client runs in the browser. The server side provides dashboards, file storage, live rooms and technical payment acceptance. No separate app, plugins or installer are required.

4. Installation

The software does not need to be downloaded or installed on the user’s device. A supported browser, a stable connection and the dashboard address are enough. If the device, browser or network do not match the System requirements, check those first instead of looking for an installer.

5. First launch for an author

  1. Open the author dashboard in a supported browser.
  2. Create an account. A bank card is not required for basic access.
  3. Accept the License agreement and the Public offer when the system shows them.
  4. Create a school and the first product: a webinar, a course or a consultation.
  5. Send students a product link or the student sign-in link.

After sign-in the dashboard opens in the same browser. Later visits use the author dashboard address and the saved account.

6. First launch for a student

  1. Open the author’s link or the student dashboard.
  2. Sign in or create an account.
  3. Accept the Student user agreement if the system shows it.
  4. Open the purchased or granted product: a lesson, a recording or the session room.

No separate install on a phone or computer is required. For a live session, allow camera and microphone in the browser if the host or student joins with video.

7. Operating a live session

The host opens the studio from the dashboard, checks camera, microphone and screen share, then starts the session. The student joins from a link or the student dashboard. The recording appears in the dashboard after processing. If the room does not open, check the System requirements and write to support with the page address and the time of the fault.

8. Payment and access

The author sets the price of their product. The student pays in the payment window without leaving the platform if payments are connected. The platform technically accepts the payment and opens access. The price of Ednice software itself is published on the Pricing page.

9. Changes

The current version is on this page. If functions or the start procedure change, the text is updated before the new edition applies.
